Methodology

During the first year we will work on the activities focused on developing the "will": we shall start with activity 1.1. We will invite a young European entrepreneur to participate in each of the seminars, so that they can explain their experience, the support received from their University, as well as the problems they encountered and the solutions they found. They will have the support of their European Universities. Taking into account the academic year in Moroccan Universities, as well as the need to involve as many students as possible in the seminars, we will not hold any of them during the summer holidays or during the exams period. This is the reason why this activity will last until April of the second year. Each European University with its corresponding company will be in charge of 2 seminars in 2 different Moroccan Universities.

Activity 3.1 will also start during the first year: the administrative staff of Moroccan Universities will be trained in ESS management. This training will be carried out by means of a WebSeminar with 5 modules. Each module will be 2 months long and will be taught by a different European University. In spite of the fact that this activity belongs to the "capacity" axis, the training duration is of 10 months, and needs to start early. Activities 3.2 and 3.3 will therefore be completed in time so that the ESSs will be available when the students shall be "willing" and "know" how to launch an entrepreneurial project. They will then need the necessary support to "be able" to carry it out. This early start will also allow us to identify at the beginning of the project the technical staff that will later be in charge of managing the ESSs, so that they can also participate in the sessions of WPs 1 and 2 that will be held in their campuses. Thanks to their participation in those sessions, they will be involved in the tasks which are to be carried out by the ESSs once the project is over.

During the second year, we will complete activity 1.1 and we will develop activity 1.2 of the "will" axis. This activity will involve the participation of the Moroccan Universities’ professors belonging to non-economic branches and who will be teaching the module "Entrepreneurial Culture". In order to adapt as much as possible the content of each of the seminars to the profile of the professors involved, professors will be grouped by field of expertise: Human Sciences, Law and Social Sciences, and Sciences and Techniques.

Once activity 1.2 has been completed, professors will go for an internship in the European Universities with the objectives of getting to know the services that may be offered to their students and of meeting their European colleagues in charge of the same module in their Universities.

Activity 2.1 of the "knowledge" axis will also be initiated during this second year. In this WP, 30 students from each Moroccan University having already participated in activity 1.1 will attend a seminar on "Entrepreneurial Skills".

Finally, during this second year we will also carry out the remaining activities within WP 3 leading to the creation of stable support structures for entrepreneurs in Moroccan Universities. After completing activity 3.1, the administrative staff will participate in activity 3.2: an internship in the European Universities in order to visit the ESSs and other available services (incubators, resources provided by other administrations, etc.). After coming back to their home Universities, and thanks to the knowledge acquired in activities 3.1 and 3.2, the administrative staff will prepare the Toolkit (activity 3.3) by adapting those tools and resources (that are useful for students who wish to set up a business) to the Moroccan reality. WP 3 will be completed once the Moroccan Universities set up their ESSs (activity 3.4).

During the third year, the project will focus on developing the activities supporting the Competences Triangle. Professors will carry out the survey defined in WP 4. At the same time, Moroccan Universities will set up a Network (activity 5.1), and the network will launch the Call for proposals (activity 5.2). The team (composed of students) winning the Call for proposals will visit a European company member of the consortium (activity 5.3). The project will end with the organization of a Conference (activity 5.4) in which all the members of the consortium shall participate.

The project’s continuity will be ensured by its outcomes. There will be a first generation of students involved in the entrepreneurial initiative and a network of support services in Moroccan Universities composed of ESSs and their administrative staff, who will also be able to continue the motivation and training activities for students in the future. There will also be professors able to teach the module "Entrepreneurial Culture" (EC) to students and to train future professors for this module (thanks to trainer training, a module included in their education). This will help motivate students. In this work, administrative staff, professors and students will have access to tools such as the Toolkit and the survey on the obstacles to entrepreneurship in University (activity 4.2). There will also be a network of Moroccan Universities, a call for proposals and a conference (5.4), all of which shall contribute to giving visibility to the whole project.

The project’s Quality Management shall be ensured in two different ways. Internally, the Quality Committee (QC) shall prepare a report every 6 months about the project’s evolution and indicators. And externally, external evaluators shall be involved and there will be a mechanism to obtain the participants’ feedback about each of the activities carried out.

Dissemination shall also take place at 2 different levels: internal and external. This will allow us to generate the project’s outcomes and deliverables such as the website, brochures, newsletters and national dissemination events.

The project also includes some groundbreaking elements, such as the creation of the Network at the beginning of the third year of the project, which will help create working dynamics among Moroccan Universities, or the WebSeminar, which shall ensure the project’s continuity as well as its affordability, as it will be supported on-line and will be available to future students.
